Venturing Crew

What is Venturing? Venturing is a branch of Scouting for boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 20, with a focus on youth leadership. Members of a crew participate in running the crew, advance through ranks, and plan their own excursions, from rock climbing, to camping trips, and even high adventure! Venturing offers an experience that is a step up from Scouts, both in the responsibility and in the experiences offered, with a focus on leadership and independence.

Venturing Crew 123 will operate in conjunction with the troop, so those interested can participate in both Scouts and Venturing. However, you don’t need to be in the Troop to join the Crew, so invite your friends! Finally, it is important to note that the Venturing Crew is a program for both Scouts and non-Scouts, but is not meant to take away from the Scouting experience. For interested Scouts, we would highly recommend prioritizing Troop requirements and responsibilities, and only joining Venturing if you feel you can effectively participate in both programs.
